Well there i went and disappeared again, but i’m still here :) I post everyday on Facebook and Instagram – so that’s where you can follow along with me! Blogging is hard work and so time consuming, but i have so many things to share! My husband is getting ready for another year long deployment (yes, he just got back from one in April but hes leaving again), so im hoping to catch up then with some much needed posts and tutorials.
Until then, i wanted to introduce you to 3 of our new Sweet Pickins Milk Paint colors! These have all been very popular and are a perfect addition to our line up.
1st up is Oh Olive! Its the perfect olive green that isn’t murky and goes with so many colors. I just loved the dresser i painted with it for the 1st time, i had a hard time letting go of that one!
Pic of Oh Olive! with and without dark wax.
Next up is Navy Blues – navy is a very popular color right now and this was the perfect time to introduce it to our line up. Its a true navy that isn’t too bright or too dark.
Oh man – i LOVED this dresser below! This one i painted with Navy Blues and our new black wax. The feet were amazing!
I love all the different looks that you can get with one color!
Then last but not least and definitely one of my favorites, is our latest color Bluebird. Its the perfect light farmhouse, vintage blue color and it has been very popular! This color can work with anything and pretty much any style. I have been painting all the things Bluebird lately :)
I have absolutely no where to put this dresser and i painted it over a month ago but i just cant bring myself to put it up for sale. The whole thing is perfect – just look how that milk paint chipped so perfectly on this piece!
I just love it with dark wax too – i cant wait to do a piece like that!
So now we have a total of 34 colors and one new one in the works! Our milk paint can be purchased here – we ship daily! Remember i stay active on Facebook and Instagram if you want to follow along with me there and not wait another year for a blog post ;)
Gorgeous colors, Sausha. I can see why they’re popular! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!!
Great colors! I really like the “Oh Olive” and the “Bluebird”
Thanks!! Bluebird has definitely become a favorite of mine!
I’ve never tried milk paint before. Love the colors. Does your paint require mixing and is there an expiration date?
Yes you mix with water and once mixed you have to use it right away. The powder doesnt expire though.
I’m with ya on inconsistent blog posts! But I’m back…officially. Anyway, I wanted to comment on the white wax! Wow, I really really like that. I’ll need to take some time to read about the milk paint process, do you make the paint yourself?
Nope – its manufactured for us :)
I love how the olive looks on those mouldings, i know it’s only a sample of the colour but I think it would look great on the architrave on my door!
