This little wood table was super cute with good bones, but needed a fun color – in my opinion ANYWAYS:)
I painted it a blue color (sorry, it was an oops paint so i havent a clue what color it is!?) – then to tone down the blue a bit i glazed it with a dark walnut stain.
BUT, before i glazed it, i did my new favorite thing and went to town with my cabinet scraper that i talked about here. I didnt use anything else to distress this table besides the scraper.
This may be too much distressing for some – but i love it!! the chippier the better :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the idea of using a cabinet scraper- going on my list now! I adore that color…really, everything about it!! Great job :)
Can it have my babies?
Love!
It's adorable!
GREAT JOB.. LOVE THE COLOR AND THE DISTRESSING
It's yummy!
Wow! This table looks amazing…I love, love, love it! :)
I'm painting a desk blue right now, and while I won't distress it that much, I adore this little table.
And not only is it perfectly chippy… the blue is da bomb!
Everything you do turns out so well! Another winner!
Hello,
It's so pretty!! Love that color.
Claudia
Awesome! I love the color and never would have thought it could look so great in looking at the before. Well done.
OH, be still my heart!
You rocked on that one!
It's a beauty! …just like everything else that you do. You inspire me!
I love the heavy distressing! The color is super sweet, too!
Me again! I'm going to have to try your scraper technique. Do you prime?
I have the companion table to this piece that I have been waiting to do…you have given me inspiration!
I love it. The chippier the better fo sho!
Love it! I used my scraper today for the first time, too, and love it!
I love it! I would not have bought that table in it's original condition even if I saw it really cheap somewhere. That's such a transformation from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan!
That is one of my favorite colors!!! Do you consider North Carolina in the area that is close enough to purchase all your treasures? :) I am so jealous of your neighbor. I would have a house full of furniture if I lived in Utah!
I like all of your distressing, I'm going to check out your tool. The color you used looks great. Funny enough, I posted a table very similar to this today :).
You know, I always pass up these kinds of tables. They're kinda ugly in their wood stain, but seeing this one painted and distressed, I think I've GOT to buy the next one I see! I love it! Maybe if I ever get my first piece of painted furniture behind me I'll be more anxious to buy more. Or not. LOL
so do you lightly sand it…then prime…then paint and finish? I scored a table similar to this one at a local thrift store and am wanting to try my hand at "Your Most Amazing Talentedness"…you TOTALLY ROCK! I have been following you for about a month now and am completely in love with your work! Thank you so very much for sharing with us!
I would like to know too
GORGEOUS! i love this color!

No way is that too much distressing. It’s beautiful!
