so i had bought this cute little dresser with good “bones” at the fabulous DI for $40. I knew that she would make a super cute little console table for under the TV in the family room. We previously had a sofa table so you could see all the plugs and it was just a mess. So, i did a little sanding, a little painting, a little staining and then a little more sanding and i got this…
I took out the top drawer for all the TV components, put some cute little baskets for remotes and stuff. I stained the top a dark color to match the floor and painted the rest white. Although the dresser is super heavy duty the drawers kind of suck, so the bottom 2 drawers store all of the kids games.
The knobs that were on it were already cute, big chunky wooden things, so i left those on and called it good :)
And here you can see my cute little dollar store frames with some glittered chipboard letters. One of the very few valentine decorations that I have. But it turned out pretty cute!
>Very cute! I was looking at those letters when I was over the other day trying to figure out how you made them.
OH, and I have your blog saved as a "favorite" so I will be checking everyday. Dont let me down. :)
>Wonderful makeover!~ Amazing what a little paint and hard work can do!!~ I see you are new to blogging as myself. It has been so much fun for me this past month. Stop over sometime:)
>I am loving your blog so far. Post a picture of your chalkboard wall for me!
>It looks great!! I love the dark top and white body!
>I like the makeover and am working on something similar.
I inherited a drawer from a friend who about to toss it. It's 4 drawers high but one drawer is missing a face so I want to add a piece of wood & baskets.
What did you do for the wood inset to hold the baskets & TV gadgets?
>KeeeeeUte…. :-)
Warm blessings,
Spencer
